In just 40 years, Nation's Brand Direct has grown into a group of more than 1,300 independent retailers located throughout the United States with affiliates in Canada and Mexico. Our members sell over $2 billion in top name brand appliances, home electronics and furniture. This buying leverage makes Nation's Brand Direct a major key account for industry suppliers.

Founded on the premise that the collective buying power of many independent dealers will keep them competitive, our group was formed by seven independent retailers 40 years ago in New York. This basic premise of "strength in numbers" remains our primary mission today, and the benefits of membership have grown to be much more extensive than at the group's inception.

The structure of the organization is by chapter... each having a president or executive director. Chapters are defined geographically by state and region.

The group is served by an elected Board of Directors. Steering committees are also appointed by product and service categories. These committees work closely with all suppliers to assure the best possible programming for our members. The group's executive cadre is known and respected as one of the most aggressive and service oriented in the industry.

Independent retailers, like Friedhaber's, are faced with an increasingly complex business environment with many new challenges. The Nation's Brand Direct Group helps Friedhaber's  meet these challenges by providing the assurances and services which they may not be able to afford alone.
